Installation Guide (Glovebox)

Step 1

Find your old filter located behind the glove box. To get access to the filter the glove box unit/door needs to be removed. Follow the instructions and this should be a 10 minute job.We have fitting video’s on our Facebook page so visit us at Facebook/cabin air filters Australia

NOTE: Our images are generic and some variances between car makes and models will occur.

Step 2

With the glove box unit/door out of the way the cabin filter housing is easily recognisable facing right at you. Proceed to unclip both sides as shown and slide it out. Carefully remove tray(or just slide out old filter if there is no tray) be careful not to allow leaves and debris to fall into fan below filter as you slide it out.

NOTE: Some cars may not have a filter fitted.

Step 3

Once the filter is out, clean remaining leaves or dirt from the housing. Check old filter size before ordering as same model can sometimes have different size filters. You can see our product dimensions under the ‘More Info or Dimensions’ tab in our products pages.

Step 4

Place your new Cabin Air Filters Australia filter with the red cast acrylic base ON THE BOTTOM. Place in filter tray, gently locate one side of filter at a time under top locating lugs of tray, the filter will be ‘snug fit’ under lugs the filter is NOT designed to be bent so gently push filter material away to allow filter to sit in the tray.If your car has no tray just gently slide new filter into the housing and reinstall cover.

Step 5

When it has been fitted make sure to leave your recirculated air button or lever in the open position as much as possible to get the full benefit of the fresh filtered air your new activated carbon air filter provides.

FURTHER QUESTIONS

Your new filter is designed to be replaced yearly as the micro pores of the activated carbon absorb the dangerous contaminates and become less effective over time.
